Sonya Tittle became a hopeless diving addict and went to work in
the scuba industry in 1998. Her first career was in health
and wellness and she also has a masters degree in Exercise Physiology.
She has logged over 1,000 dives. In addition to being
full cave and technically trained through GUE, she is an Instructor
for Global Underwater Explorers (GUE). Sonya has traveled
extensively, but her favorite dive destination is the area around
Akumal where photographing the cenotes and caves of Mexico has become
a new passion. After owning a few film camera systems, she
realized that digital was the best way for her to go and got a 4.1
megapixel camera, the Olympus 4040, and a Light & Motion Tetra to
house it. She has added onto this system and her current system
includes dual Sea & Sea YS-DX90 strobes and her very favorite Inon
dome port lens. Sonya’s images have been featured on several
websites and publications including the 2003 and 2004 Halcyon catalogs,
the Global Underwater Explorers calendar, and in publications such
as Northwest Dive News and various publications and advertisements
for 5th Dimension Dive Center. She is dedicated to growing
her travel and photography business and is looking forward to expanding
her dive related services in various formats. Sonya currently resides
in Seattle, WA and can be contacted at Sonya@sirenscapes.com.
